Need A Root Canal?

Talk to your dentist about your symptoms and whether a root canal is right for you.

What Is A Root Canal?

Root canal is a dental procedure in which an experienced dentist removes the diseased root of a tooth. The root canal is done through a small opening that is made in the tooth’s roof (enamel). The procedure is often necessary when the tooth is damaged or when it has become infected. A special type of anesthetic is used to numb the area before the surgery begins.

How Long Does A Root Canal Take?

Root canal procedures vary in length depending on the severity of the infection and how extensive the root canal is. Generally, a root canal procedure takes around two hours to complete. However, this can vary depending on the individual patient’s specific situation.

How Do You Know If You Need A Root Canal?

If you are experiencing pain in one or more of your teeth, you may need a root canal. When a tooth is infected, the infection can spread to the root of the tooth. This can cause significant pain and damage to the tooth. A root canal is a surgery that involves removing the infected portion of the tooth and replacing it with a custom-made implant.

If you have any of the following symptoms, you may need a root canal: sensitivity to heat, toothache that lasts for more than a week, teeth that feel loose or wobbly when you move them, severe pain when you bite into something hard, or pus or blood coming from the tooth. If you are not sure if you need a root canal, schedule an appointment with Dr. Louis Delorie DDS.

How Much Does A Root Canal Cost?

Root canals are one of the most common dental procedures performed. A root canal is a surgical procedure that cleans and repairs a damaged or infected tooth. The cost can vary based on the location and severity of the condition.

Some factors that can affect the price include whether the tooth is removable, the type of root canal needed, and whether any other dental work is required along with the root canal.
